Corps to Seek Transformer Installation at Ice Harborby PennwellHydroWorld, October 6, 2011 |
The Corps also plans to take bids for removal and replacement of the T6 transformer at Ice Harbor with a new 115-kilovolt three-phase transformer to be purchased under a separate contract.
The Walla Walla District said it expected to issue a solicitation for the work about Oct. 22, with bids to be due at least 30 days later.
In a set-aside for small business, the Corps plans to seek removal of the existing transformer and electrical components, plus installation of new transformer low-voltage, high-voltage, and high-voltage neutral connections, and other electrical and mechanical work. The work is valued at $1 million to $5 million.
A pre-solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912EF12B0002 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
