Energy Efficiency Program Enhanced by Staff BPA Journal, March 19, 2007

On Feb. 13, BPA enhanced its energy efficiency initiatives implemented through its customer utilities. The move will help meet an aggressive target to acquire 52 average megawatt s of energy efficiency this year. BPA is increasing incentives to achieve energy efficiency in industrial applications and non-lighting commercial loads. It also is increasing contract technical advisors available to BPA utility customers, particularly to advise on opportunities for efficiency in commercial lighting. The agency also is simplifying and clarifying certain reporting requirements for participating utilities.
