U.S. Seeks Firms to Supply Stoplogs to 603-MW

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on firms able to fabricate and deliver draft tube stoplogs for the 603-MW Ice Harbor Dam and 810-MW Little Goose Dam hydroelectric projects. Responses are due May 5.
The Corps' Walla Walla District requested information in April on firms able to perform biological assessments of new turbine runner designs at Ice Harbor. It also took bids in April to supply a commercial power transformer for Little Goose.
In a sources sought notice, the Walla Walla District now seeks information for planning purposes on firms able to fabricate two sets of draft tube stoplogs of between 15 and 33 tons each, one set of eight for Ice Harbor and a set of six for Little Goose. They are to be inserted into slots at the tailrace of the dams to dewater generating unit draft tubes.
