Columbia, Snake Dam Locks Closing for Maintenance by Staff Tri-City Herald, March 3, 2016

All navigation locks on Army Corps of Engineers dams on the Columbia and Snake rivers will be closing for annual inspections, maintenance and repairs. at 6 a.m. March 5.

Bonneville, The Dalles and John Day dams on the Columbia River should reopen about noon March 19.

The McNary Dam on the Columbia River and the Ice harbor, Lower Monumental, Little Goose and Lower Granite dams on the Snake river will reopen about noon on March 25. Some gate structural repairs and machinery replacement is planned at some of those dams.

No vehicle crossings will be allowed at the Lower Monumental Dam near Kahlotus throughout the maintenance lock outage. Little Goose near Starbuck may have periodic closures. Lower Granite near Pomeroy will have crossing delays of up to one hour March 5.
