Iberdrola gets FERC Approval for Imbalance Services Sale Proposal by Staff Smart Brief, April 2, 2013

Iberdrola received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for its proposal to expand its current generation imbalance self-supply program to include other entities in the Pacific Northwest other than the Bonneville Power Administration. Iberdrola's proposal would balance wind generation interconnected on the BPA's system, according to the American Wind Energy Association. "AWEA appreciates the need for Iberdrola's plan to offer its self-supply services to third parties who also fall victim to BPA's high wind integration charges," the association said.
