Big Country News, March 21, 2022

(Blaine Harden) Little Goose and other federal dams have been ordered to spill water to keep migrating salmon in the Snake River, avoiding potentially deadly turbines. STARBUCK, WA -- Between Monday, April 4 and Friday, April 8, 2022, officials at Little Goose Lock and Dam will close dam crossings to the public in order to perform electrical work on top of the dam.

Normal crossing hours are once an hour, on the half-hour, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Public dam crossings are also available at Lower Granite Lock and Dam and Lower Monumental Lock and Dam.
