RICHLAND, Wash. -- The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is preparing to install 18 miles of new high-voltage lines in Richland as part of the South of Tri-Cities Reinforcement Project. The BPA announced that an environmental impact study for the project has been completed and is now available for public review.
The project, which also includes the installation of a new substation, aims to enhance the existing infrastructure in the area. With the completion of the impact study, the BPA is inviting public comments on the project.
To facilitate community engagement, the BPA will host an open house at Cottonwood Elementary School in Kennewick on June 4 at 6 p.m.
