US Army Corps of Engineers Advances Fish Passage,

WALLA WALLA -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District is simultaneously making strides in hydropower modernization and ecological restoration across the region.
Ice Harbor Dam turbine replacement completed
The Corps and Voith Hydro recently completed a decade-long modernization project at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam in Burbank. The final turbine was successfully lowered into the powerhouse, concluding the replacement of units one through three. The new, state-of-the-art turbines are designed to significantly improve fish passage while also increasing the region's hydropower generation capacity.
