Regarding "Feds can't wriggle off the hook on salmon" (April 11), once again, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has called out the federal salmon plan for what it really is: a fraud.

According to the Bush administration, dams are a part of the natural environment and for statistical purposes, dead fish are actually alive. Wow, this is truly amazing!

And while our tax dollars are hard at work in the land of make-believe, salmon continue swimming closer to their demise.

Cut the legal gymnastics that have resulted in four illegal salmon plans and start saving salmon. A little work from Congress right now might end this charade that helps no one in the Northwest.
